Either bamby should have never sent the Navy into this first incident (where
he is now allowing 4-gunmen make our military look foolish), or he should
have given them the green light to deal with these thugs according to
international maritime laws.
Since that hasn't happened, it means bamby has hamstrung them from doing

All tough right wing talk worth exactly what we are paying for it. The Navy
has the life boat in view and is preventing other pirates from "rescuing"
the four pirates holding the Capitan. The reason they apparently don't act a
s you think they should is because they don't want to lose the Capitan and
other hostages. The French (yes the surrender monkeys as you would call
them) stormed a boat the other day freeing a couple of hostages but got one
killed. Is that what we should do? Instead of complaining, tell us what we
should do? Talk is cheap but you have no solutions.

attacks. Why the owners have chosen not to do that is beyond me. I guess
they'd rather pay ransoms than protect their ships. Of course at this point
it has escalated to the point that the world has to act. What should the US
do? .Mostly this is not a US problem until very recently.

We've been down this road before. Keep in mind that the "Shores of Tripoli"
in the Marine Corp Hymn is a reference to the 1790's fight with the Barbary
Pirates also off of the coast of Africa. I guess we have to do it again.

I think that is a great idea. Frogmen (Navy Seals) could easily take that
boat at night. I thought they out to just sink it and see how the Pirates
use their weapons while trying to swim for it. We already know the Capitan

pirates and hostage are inside, with everything sealed up in case
someone decides to shoot at the pirates, accurately enough to hit
them and not their hostage. Unfortunately, that means that if Navy
Seals sneak up on it, there might not be enough time to capture
the pirates before they can kill the hostage. If they are planning
any such operation, it makes sense to take their time to plan it
very carefully. Also, it is supposedly very hot inside the boat the
pirates are in due to everything being sealed up. If you wait, the
pirates will simply get more and more tired each day, and maybe
more and more complacent. Eventually they will run out of food and
water.

None of us are there. Don't criticize them until you know the full
story. And it is silly to blame Obama - he's smart enough to know
that he should not be trying to micromanage this.
