Of course what is not said is if McCain were president and the republicans
remained in power, the unemployment would have accelerated 50% or more and
that we would likely be spiraling down into a full fledged depression.
Everybody knows that employment is a lagging indicator. With the stimulus
only about 10% applied, It's absurd to expect it to have fixed the economy
in only a few months. Remember, the republicans said no to everything so
what would they have brought? Clearly the private sector can't seem to pull
us out by itself or it would have done so. Why aren't the corporations
hiring people? It's easy to crab about Obama but what is your big idea for
a fix. How does saying NO fix the economy?
If the stimulus doesn't work, you may get your chance to apply your Herbert
Hoover policies and we will see how well you do it. Be careful what you wish
for.
