For coverage of SF Bay Area news and issues,
it's hard to beat the Progressive News Hour
with John Scott. This is not ranting and
raving talk radio, this is real interviews
and commentary hosted by a man who is warm,
polite, personable, intelligent, and easy
on the ears.

It is broadcast by Quake Radio, AM 960,
Monday through Friday from 5pm to 6pm,
but their transmitter is not very powerful,
so you may want to try the MP3 versions
downloaded from this page:

I am only a fan; no connection to Quake
Radio.

Air America has no home, it merely produces and
distributes content nationwide. It filed for
Chapter 11 to resolve issues with its creditors,
and has been acquired by SLG Radio LLC, reportedly
for $4.25 million. Failed? Remains to be seen.

KQKE is a Clear Channel station that runs some
Air America programming, but they also run other
nationally syndicated content, their own local
news and talk shows, and USF Basketball (which
preempts anything in their program schedule).
