(02-13) 07:44 PST SAN FRANCISCO -- A body was discovered stuffed
in a motel garbage chute in the Mission District Wednesday
night, San Francisco police said.
Officers responded to reports of the body at the motel on the
400 block of Valencia Street at about 11:15 p.m., said police
spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy.
Upon arrival, the medical examiner's office found no external
signs of homicide at the scene. Police and the medical
examiner's office will continue investigating why the body was
in the chute, Shyy said.
The medical examiner's office has not determined the cause of
death or released the victim's name.
