I'd like to commend Gene Burns & JD (producer) for continuing to
discuss Iraq.
Tuning around for content on the various talk shows (Opps! I forgot
KSFO & Sussman...), the only intelligent, relevant, non-inflammatory
bit I hear was brief but valid, and it was KGO.
He had a caller (I'm presuming he was Islamic and/or from that part of
the world) on who dispensed some enlightening facts vis-a-vis today's
latest developments & pronouncement of "Gulf War II", or whatever we're
calling it this week. These facts dealt w/ the Islamic belief of
Armageddon, which has the Christ/Messiah returning form a village near
Damascus, where Aramic is still spoken (for those of you that didn't
know, they do belief & acknowledge Him).
Tos summarize, it was brief, Gene DID NOT thank him for his call, as he
was timing into the break (Burns, Bernie, Ra, Dr. W, & a few others
have this down to an art form on KGO), and was WHY I listen to KGO
increasingly for a sane dialogue on politics, as opposed to the poor
little dead girl, whatever INSIPID topic Leykis has, etc.
KNEW? The usual, sarcastic, reactionanry take on today's war
developments. I never remember that host's name, and don't care to.
Hell, I'll even take $avage at his worst over that babble!
KQKE? Rantings & ravings about electronic voter fraud ( I think it was
either Malloy or a fill-in).
Didn't even bother w/ "Free".
With all due respect to those whose opinions I value in this NG DK, Mr.
Higdon, Steve Rubin, Don Senor Eduardo, Mark, the Phils Kane & Keller,
plus a few others - Where are you "Buck", "SoCal Tom", Peter H, Greg
Bo??), as opposed to some zany non-sequiter wit, "Chuckie"/"I am Not
Chuckie, & the usual gang of idiots,
and of course, He-Who-Flees-in-Terror (you knwo, Alex Konstantie's pal
& obedient toady to Francis Carr):
Iraq *is* imporatnt. Sure, we're all sick of it . Just talk to the
dozen or so vets, as I have. My biker brothers who served in the first
Bush Iraqi Debacle, Panama, Grenada, Somalia, Lebanon, & "Club 'Nam",
as one calls it. They're kinda sick of it too.
So, it would seem, are those who helped get us in this mess "Over
There"... like Senator Frankenstein, who was being shamelessly baited
by Sir Ronn the Smarmy, but actually came off sounding better than he
did.
Considering he led off his show w/ the Man w/ 2 Dicks story. Gimme a
break, Ronn! Was it, you or your producer that came up w/ that???
That's "FREE" material....OPie & Andy tripe.
Me, I'm just sick, and habe too many irons in the fire to waste too
much time on this.
IMO, Iraq should be discussed, and if you'd rather just have fun, or
get yer boob in a wringer about Mel Gibson, the Ramsey case, esp
whatever that sad sick F&ck had for dinner on the plane... the
Immigration issue(s), and whatever...good for you!
With a state gubernatorial race that will smell worse than the late Ken
Forsythe's farts ( or mine!), the continuing escalting inner-city & now
suburban youth violence, the mid-term elections, the world economy,the
aftermath of Katrina (now in Houston), Our local & national PDs gone
berserk w/ use of dealy force, rapes in the recruiter's office, the
daily horrors of Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel vs Hezbollah, our own
governments & president's inefficencies, etc. I can't really pay
attention to whether or not the Iraq "conflict"...
If you really truly love your freedom, this Land (it's your land, etc.)
or have kids, or even pay attention...

Forget it. Time to go off to the Happy Home for music
listening/self-indulgence, music "branding" & the Berlin cabarets
and whatever non-relevant celebrity I should be obseed with .....
