I live in the fabulous East Bay, and somewhere between it and even more
fabulous San Francisco is a dump called Oakland that one has to drive
through on the way to the city.
I heard that either the current or former mayor was trying to promote
Oakland as a tourist destination. I didn't see anything but a bunch of
negroes and dilapidated shacks, nothing that might compare to all the neat
stuff to see and do in San Francisco. One might think that since the
only reason someone would stop in Oakland is for gasoline, that the gas
stations would be hospitable to passing motorists and offer them
restroom facilities to compensate for having to stop in the ghetto. But
no restrooms were to be found for 5 different stations.
Then I thought with so many negroes there must surely be a McDonalds or
Burger King on almost every corner, but those are too upscale for Oakland,
and I doubt they would have bathrooms either. Finally I gave up and
drove into San Francisco and found a place to pee there. I will never
stop in Oakland again for anything, and I can't believe state authorities
allow such a dump to blight an otherwise fantastic region.
Maybe they could relocate Oakland, or at least build new freeways to
detour around it. The ship ports seem useful so they could stay, but the
rest of the city should be condemned and bulldozed and perhaps used as
a site for a nuclear or chemical waste dump.
