do you have for the financial crisis?"

Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) and a conservative Harvard law student debated over
how Frank should have handled his role as the House Chairman of the
Financial Services Committee. Frank was at Harvard University for a speech
at the Kennedy School of Government.

Frank said the student wasn't backing up his claims, invoking some laughter
from the crowd, and the student told Frank he wasn't answering his question.

a) there is NO "creeping socialism" in any party. None
of the policies, programs or agenda in any way head
toward a confiscation of Private property, takeover of
private enterprise, or divest the National government
of power to "share equally" with all.

b) You can't find a "conservative" policy or program
ever designed to help the Entire range of
Population---mostly conservatism is geared to the
"return" of lost power that reactionaries enjoyed for
generations where government was "silent" and allowed
wealth, power and business to themselves.

c) the GOP is losing power for ONE reason----that
historically, Americans get lulled into putting them
into power by "messages" carefully crafted to sway
them. Conservatism has no substance---it's all
"glittering generalities", "crafted messages",
Propaganda and greed.

Just out of curiosity, why do you people post such lies? In your case,
your lie regarding Barney Frank is sufficiently outrageous that you
could be sued for libel if Frank wanted to go to the trouble.
Fortunately for you, he is probably too busy and you are no doubt
too inconsequential.

BTW, there was a different congressman from Massachusetts, Gerry
Studds, who (according to <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerry_Studds>)
had some sort of affair with a 17-year-old page in 1973 and was
censured by the House of Representatives as a result. Whether that was
illegal or not depends on what the age of consent was in Washington
D.C. at the time, but most people would consider it unseemly at best.

You might want to keep the two straight (even though neither of them
are in a different sense of that word).
