Cindy Sheehan, the peace-activist-mom who lost a son in Iraq and who gained
national prominence by protesting outside of President Bush's ranch in
Crawford, Texas, says she has been the victim of "dirty tricks" in her
campaign to dislodge House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in CA-08.
--Her hotel phone in Denver during the Democratic National Convention was
"bugged."
--Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa personally intervened to stop her
from speaking at a music festival.
--She was forced to file for a restraining order against a former volunteer
who she says was sending threatening e-mails and who she now thinks was a
"spy" for Nancy Pelosi.
--She was the victim of intentional vandalism when the tail lights of her RV
were busted out.
--That one of her campaign interns was assaulted when she struggled against
four men who walked into her office feigning that they wanted to register to
vote but apparently intended to computer equipment instead.
--That she has been summoned to begin jury duty in San Francisco on the week
of the Nov. 4 elections.
--That a recent round "robo calls" that she paid for began contacting voters
at 10:30 p.m. on a recent weekend night instead of the early week night time
slot she had scheduled.

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Just 5 days before the election, at
3a.m. on October 30th, all of the front windows of the Cindy Sheehan for
Congress campaign offices were shattered. Although staffers had been in the
office less than an hour earlier, no one was in the building at the time of
the incident. No one was hurt and there were no witnesses. Cindy Sheehan is a
candidate for Congress in California's 8th Congressional District race against
incumbent Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

"It seems to have been a calculated intimidation tactic," said Tiffany Burns,
the Cindy for Congress campaign manager. "One of our computers was stolen, but
no other property was taken from our offices and no surrounding buildings were
targeted. Clearly they wanted to both frighten us and to gather information."
Total damage to the campaign office is currently estimated at more than
$5,000.

The Cindy for Congress campaign recently chronicled a series of unusual
events, including other threats of violence, in a statement issued on October
13th. In that statement, Cindy Sheehan noted "[t]he past few weeks have been a
little strange at Cindy for Congress [...] the things that have been happening
could just be coincidences, or a run of bad luck, but the climate for the
possibility of campaign hanky-panky certainly exists."

Campaign staffers also note each incident, including today's early morning
incident, has followed closely on the heels of a confrontation with Cindy
Sheehan's opponent Nancy Pelosi. This morning's incident occurred after an
on-air confrontation between the two candidates on KQED's public affairs
program Forum with Michael Krasny on Wednesday morning.

"Each time we confront her, each time we ask her for a debate, each time we
gain ground in the polls, something horrible happens," said Burns. "Once or
twice might be a coincidence, but such a consistent correlation is hard to
ignore."

[ I wonder if this was Pelosi's goons or self-inflicted?]

"Over the summer I had a hysterectomy, and um, I got my "parts" back. I
thought I could just [inaudible] on eBay, you know, "[inaudible] Cindy
Sheehan's uterus." And so I planted it in the garden where the bush, it's a
pretty bush. . . . It's so funny 'cause me and my children, we'll always be a
part of, of Crawford, Texas. Long after people forgot the horror of the Bush
regime, long after, you know, we're forgotten. We'll always, our DNA will
always be in the land."

Fascist fishwife Cindy Sheehan claims she is the victim of another attack,
according to a press release for her "congressional campaign":

"It seems to have been a calculated intimidation tactic,"
said Tiffany Burns, the Cindy for Congress campaign manager.
"One of our computers was stolen, but no other property was
taken from our offices and no surrounding buildings were targeted.
Clearly they wanted to both frighten us and to gather information."
Total damage to the campaign office is currently estimated
at more than $5,000.

of unusual events, including other threats of violence, in a
statement issued on October 13th. In that statement, Cindy

could just be coincidences, or a run of bad luck, but the

Sheehan is running against Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who will win easily. The only
thing that these putative attacks accomplish is to bring a little attention to
Sheehan. Is there anyone who might have an interest in such an outcome?

It is simply breathtaking to watch the glee and abandon with which
the liberal media and the Angry Left have been attempting to turn
our military victory in Iraq into a second Vietnam quagmire. Too bad
for them, it's failing.
