Bullshit. Illegal aliens don't vote. Why the hell would they? If you're
in this country illegally, are you going to risk being caught and
deported by showing up at a polling station and trying to vote
illegally?

You don't have much of a clue, do you? Many cities have "sanctuary" laws
that forbid their local LE personnel from asking the immigration status of
people they arrest or detain. Illegals get driver's licenses in many states
w/o proof of legal residency, and many polling places refuse to ask for
identification. To top it off, ICE has preety much run a "catch-and release"
program until recently. What the hell makes you think there's much of chance
of being caught, much less deported?

Everyone should have to show ID in order to vote. No reason not too.

Couldn't agree more. Just like driving is not based on the honor
system, voters should be required to show some identification. A little
problem is that the poor and minorities will have yet another obstacle
to exercise their constitutional right.

How's that? Poor people have driver's licenses (or state issued ID cards if
they don't drive) so there's no real issue there...
